Chicago, IL – New Atlantic Ventures (NAV) was presented with the Venture Capital Emerging Manager of the Year award by the Opal Financial Group and Focus Point Press at the 2007 Emerging Managers Summit and Awards Dinner in Chicago.

The judging panel consisted of representatives from the Opal Financial Group, Focus Point Press as well as leading institutional and private investors.

"Opal financial group is honored to have had the opportunity to recognize New Atlantic Ventures as the Venture Capital Firm of the year, in addition to their achievements and contribution to the emerging manager sector" said Abe Wellington, CEO of the Opal Financial Group.

The Emerging Manager of the year award was hotly contested but NAV was recognized for its disciplined early-stage investment strategy and its focus on high-growth, emerging mass markets such as wireless, new media, breakthrough technologies and online business services
